History
The club first met on 6th September 1999 at Little Heath Parish Hall. We expected to survive through to Christmas of that year. However, the club was so popular that we found ourselves in a position to join the Herts League in the following season.
We secured successive promotions until we reach Division 2 where we have remained until 2015 - 2016 when we were promoted to Division 1. Over time, we have run several teams including one season in the main Middlesex league where we gained promotion from Division 3 to Division 2 before pulling out when it was clear we were not going to be competitive.
The junior side of the club had been very successful and helped underpin the club. Unfortunately, there are few young players and so we have cut back on that side and focused on the league chess which seems to be buoyant.
